MARDAVE STOCKMASTER MARK 2
1/8TH SCALE (By Pete T)
I know Mardave started stockcar building/racing way back in 1972 and i have seen the mark 1 stocker in the flesh so i know what that model looks like, I owned a original stockmaster lowline from new in 1993 ( wish i never sold it back then ) so i know the stockmaster I have is between the two, I just dont know for a fact how many stock cars were made between the mark one and the lowline, with the information I have at present I'm assuming the stockmaster is the mark 2 from the 80's, the lowline being the mark 3 and I do remember reading an article in radio race car international in WH SMITH in my very early 20's that mardave produced a new stock car, and after that as far as I know there were no more.in fact as of today writing this I only know of one place on the whole world wide web where I can buy spares for my new build stocker. M.M.R.D (mmrd.co.uk) which is such a shame as they truly are great cars to run for fun or racing.
As far as I know all the MMRD parts are compatible with any type of 1/8th stocker, the world of British rc stock car racing is so small that the rules haven't changed much in over 40 years so the cars have pretty much stayed the same so the parts are all interchangeable Here's a quick list of the parts I know fit for certain:

- Rear axle
- Rear axle mounts
- Rear axle spring rods
- Rear axle wheel hubs
- Rear axle gear mount
- Rear axle drive gear ( using the mount )
- The wheels are an exact copy of the original Mardave ones from the stockmaster era
- Tyres of course
- Front uprights
- Front springs
- I don't know about the king pins as I haven't used or bought any new ones
- The radio boxes of old have been replaced with radio trays now that also fit the fuel tank on instead of it being mounted on the back plate, these new plates can easily be fitted to any vintage stocker though
