Modified?
Stunning looking vintage pan chassis car featuring a different drive set up using a belt drive, either a very well executed modification which involves moving the engine forward and the fuel tank to the rear of the car, or Mardave produced it this way as it looks like it could also be stock?? beautiful set of alu wheels too! Many thanks to Tiziano for sharing.

Lotus 72
Have spent years looking for one of these extremely rare cars, underneath the homemade chassis modifications used to carry a Lola body was an original Lotus 72, the correct nose chassis plate & F1 front spoiler had been kept along with the original rear spoiler fitment instructions, the spoiler had been replaced with a homemade bracket so I’ve made a new spoiler and copied the instructions to follow the build as close as possible. The seller was a great guy who remembers going along with his father to collect the kit direct from the 1st Mardave workshop in the early 70s! Lewis.

Lotus 72
From approx 1973, this is a very early example of Mardave using their 1st flat chassis, you can see the outline of where the radio box would have been positioned. The thicker plastic wheels and single metal drive gear were only issued for a short time before being updated to the thinner rimmed wheels featuring built in drive gears as used on their 1/8th cars from approx 1975 onwards making this a very rare car. Thanks to Frank for sharing.
